The coast without the crowd

One of the lovely things about being in Currowan is having the coast within reach and somewhere quiet to come back to. You can spend the morning around Batemans Bay, stop for lunch or a walk by the water, then head inland for an afternoon beside the creek.

Riverdell sits between Braidwood and Batemans Bay, with forest, paddocks and Cabbage Tree Creek around us. It’s a handy base for a South Coast weekend, especially if you enjoy a beach day but prefer to sleep away from the busy holiday strips.

There are two ways to stay: bring your own setup for one of our eight creekside campsites, or pack a little lighter and settle into the private cabin for two. The cabin has its own kitchen and bathroom, along with air-conditioning and Wi-Fi.

Our suggestion for a weekend? Arrive before dark, keep the first night’s dinner easy and leave Saturday open. Head out to explore if you feel like it. If a book and a chair by the creek win instead, that’s a perfectly good day too.

Bring drinking water and a warm layer for the evening. Our creek and tap water is untreated, and campfires depend on current restrictions. Dogs are welcome; please keep them leashed in shared areas and be mindful of the farm animals and other guests.
