The Riverdell chapter begins

Toward the end of April 2026, we settled on the property that would become Riverdell. The creek, forest edge, paddocks and small farm buildings already had their own rhythm; our job was to listen before deciding what the place should become.

The photographs from those late-April days show the property as we were first learning it: rough in places, full of possibility, and already giving us reasons to slow down. We began with practical work—access, amenities, the cabin and safe places to gather—while keeping the character of the land at the centre.

This journal will follow that work honestly: the projects that changed the property, the seasons along Cabbage Tree Creek, and the family life growing around it.
